“Blow the Man Down”
This is my version of the sea shanty classic. Except for the first verse and a couple of other lines, the lyrics are entirely new, as is the two instrumental sections.

This is my infamous Miss Texas USA Pageant performance, which is described in the book. It was an odd experience, to say the least.
Here is “MJ & Frenz” playing at The Fizz, a bar in Greenville, N.C., where I often performed for between 1986 and 1990. It closed became something else in the mid-’90s. No clue what is there now. Playing with me is, from left, guitarist Luke Whisnant, bassist Ronnie Daw, and drummer Stan Simmons. The video was shot from a camcorder placed above the bar by the owner, Abdul. Apologies to Steve Miller, but we were having a good time.
