Snow at Dave Greer Cabin

Creativity, Writing

I just returned from my annual writing “sabbatical” at the 180-year-old Dave Greer Cabin — owned by my good friends, Jim and Sheryl Buck — in Pall Mall, Tenn.  (You can rent this cabin.  Click here or go to www.buckslodging.com.)  I’ll write more about the experience soon, but for now, check out this two-minute video I shot the day before I left, Saturday, Feb. 2.  Turn up the volume on your computer, or better yet, put on headphones.

I ran across the Bucks some years ago while looking for lodging for the night after visiting Sgt. Yorks home. The friendship that developed has let to more visits there and to their visit with me in Ca.Jim and I have played many rounds of golf together and he and Sheryl have become long time friends.
I love the cabin and value the friendship that develo[ped because I was looking for a place to stay the night.

David, like you, a chance meeting with the Bucks has developed into a lasting friendship. My kids call Jim “Uncle Buck.” They are fantastic people. Thanks for the comment!

Beautiful cabin! I know David Buck. He grew up in the John Clemens cabin, which is the twin of this one. David sent me your video.
